Built for Sustainability: Slanted Window Design
The hotel is built with sustainability in mind. Our slanted windows reduce direct sunlight and solar heat gain, helping guest rooms stay cooler naturally so air-conditioning does not need to be turned down as low.
100% Natural Ventilation in Key Areas
Our fitness centre, guest rooms, corridors, and car park are designed for 100% natural ventilation, reducing reliance on mechanical cooling and improving indoor air quality.
Filtered Water Taps in Every Room
All guest rooms are fitted with filtered water taps, eliminating the need for single-use plastic bottles and reducing plastic waste.

IHG Low Carbon Pioneer - First in Asia
Recognised by IHG Hotels & Resorts for meeting rigorous criteria: no fossil fuels combusted on-site, backed by renewable energy, and holding a GSTC-recognised sustainability certification. Holiday Inn Express Singapore Clarke Quay is the first IHG hotel in Asia to achieve this status.
GSTC Certification — Global Sustainable Tourism Council
Certified to the GSTC Hotel Standard, the global baseline for sustainable tourism. This certification confirms our commitment to effective sustainability management, community benefit, cultural heritage protection, and environmental conservation.
2025 Singapore Hotel Sustainability Award
Presented by the Singapore Hotel Association (SHA), this biennial award recognises hotels demonstrating excellence in sustainable practices, environmental stewardship, and community collaboration. Criteria align with the GSTC Certification and Singapore’s Hotel Sustainability Roadmap.
PUB Water Efficient Building Certification
Certified by PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency. This certification recognises our adoption of water-efficient fittings and practices, saving approximately 5% of monthly water consumption.
